Our Medical & Forensic Consultation Services

In addition to our therapeutic services, Wright Counseling & Consulting Inc. provides independent clinical forensic assessments and medical record reviews for legal, insurance, and administrative proceedings. These are objective clinical evaluations, not therapy, designed to provide clarity in complex cases through a psychosocial and clinical diagnostic lens.

We offer comprehensive psychosocial and clinical assessments across multiple domains:

For Legal Professionals (Civil Matters):

Personal Injury Impact Assessments
Clinical evaluation of emotional distress, PTSD symptoms, and functional impairment stemming from accidents or trauma. For personal injury attorneys.
Fee: $1,900 per comprehensive assessment

Immigration Hardship Evaluations
Culturally sensitive assessment of clinical hardship, trauma impact, and family system effects for immigration cases.
Record Review & Clinical Case Analysis
Detailed synthesis of medical/mental health records to identify key psychological factors.
Fee: $1,500 per evaluation (up to 100 pages)
Additional pages: $2/page beyond 100*

Medical

Bariatric Surgery

Psychosocial Readiness, assessment of emotional preparedness, understanding of lifestyle changes, and behavioral patterns for long-term success.
Fee: $1,500 per evaluation

Pain Management / Interventional

Psychosocial readiness assessments for individuals being considered for high-risk or implantable medical interventions, including spinal cord stimulators, pain pumps, transplants, and comparable procedures. Evaluations address psychological stability, coping capacity, adherence risk, and support systems.

Fee: $1,500-$2,000 per evaluation
Final fee determined by medical complexity, record review, and reporting scope.

Employment

Fitness for Duty / Work Related

Independent behavioral and psychosocial evaluations assessing an individual’s capacity to perform job-related duties safely and effectively from a mental health perspective. These assessments support employer decision-making regarding return-to-work readiness, functional limitations, and reasonable accommodation considerations.

For safety-sensitive or high-risk roles, fees range from $2,500 to $3,000

depending on scope and documentation requirements*

Texas Scope of Practice Statement

All services are provided within the scope of Licensed Clinical Social Work practice under Texas Administrative Code §781.401, including:

Clinical interviews and psychosocial assessments
DSM-5-TR diagnosis of mental and emotional disorders
Evaluation of intrapersonal and interpersonal functioning
Functional impact and accommodation recommendations
Record review and clinical synthesis
Expert consultation on psychosocial functioning

*Services Not Provided

The following services fall outside LCSW scope in Texas and require referral to a licensed psychologist. A referral network is maintained for these needs.

Comprehensive psychological testing (MMPI, PAI, neuropsychological batteries)

Criminal forensic evaluations (competency, insanity, criminal responsibility)

Child custody evaluations without additional Texas certification

Initial Case Consultation & Record Review
Discussion of referral question, scope, timeline, and preliminary document review.

Structured Clinical Interview
Focused interview aligned with the specific referral purpose and decision-making needs.

Standardized Symptom Measures
Use of appropriate screening instruments (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, PCL-5) within LCSW scope.

Collateral Integration (When authorized)
Review of supplemental records or consultation with treating providers, as appropriate.

Written Report & Clinical Consultation
Clear, professionally written report synthesizing findings with clinical impressions and practical recommendations.
